Endocrine cancer is a cancer that occurs in
any part of the endocrine system. The endocrine system are the hormone secreting endocrine glands such as the thyroid, pancreatic, pituitary, and adrenal glands.


Development of cancer in one of these organs usually results in the secretion of excessive hormones. Cancers of the endocrine system include such types as adrenocortical carcinoma, thyroid cancer and Cushing's syndrome or an adrenal tumor. 

Thyroid cancer is the most common form of cancer that occurs in the endocrine system.  The most common symptom of this type of cancer is swelling or a lump in the neck.
