What is Hyperglycemia? |
|
Answer:
Hyperglycemia means “high glucose in blood” If someone has type 1-diabetes they might develop hyperglycemia if they have not been given enough insulin; or if they have type 2-diabetes then it might be as a result of an adequate supply of insulin not being used properly by the body. Hyperglycemia can also lead to a complex medical condition -- diabetic ketoacidosis and coma -- if not treated adequately and in time.
