What is Hypoglycemia?

Answer:
Hypoglycemia
is a condition in which the blood sugar level of an individual is lower than normal. Hypoglycemia occurs when the level of glucose drops too low to fuel the body.

Glucose fuels both muscular and mental functions in an individual.  Therefore, hypoglycemia can manifest itself in both physical and psychological symptoms.

A normal blood sugar reading should fall between 70 and 110.  Someone whose level falls below 70 is hypoglycemic.  Skipping meals, binge drinking, certain medications and diseases can lead to hypoglycemia.  If a diabetic takes excess medication or does not eat a meal after taking medication, a hypoglycemic condition can result.
