What is lactose intolerance? |
|
Answer:
Lactose intolerance is caused when your intestines Lactase is crucial to the digestion of lactose, the sugar found in milk and other dairy products. You may suffer cramps, gas, bloating, and diarrhoea within about two hours of eating dairy products. Taking lactase tablets or drops can treat these symptoms. A Lactose Tolerance Test can be taken to determine ones tolerance. The test requires an individual to fast and then ingest a liquid containing lactose. Blood samples are then taken to determine a person’s blood glucose (blood sugar) level. These measurements are used to determine the body’s ability to manage lactose. Trackback(0)
