What are the benefits of exercising? |

Answer:
What aren't the benefits of exercising? I do. I always wake up saying, "I gotta quit drinking!!" No matter how sore I am from lifting, or how sore my knees and feet are from running, or how tired I am from hitting the bag and jumping rope, I never say, "I gotta quit exercising!!" Because I know it's good. Instinctively, I can tell that what I have done will make me better. Besides the psychological benefits, the long term health benefits are also great. The stronger your muscles, and more conditioned your cardiorespiratory system, the greater your chances are for a longer, more pleasant life. For men and women, the muscle tone will enhance your figure and make you more physically attractive. Oh my God! How superficial! That's right. What's wrong with caring what you look like? Also, the enhanced strength will help later in life with skeletal issues such as arthritis or osteoporosis. Exercise has been shown to be beneficial in the control of high cholesterol and high blood pressure. It reduces stress and gives us a challenge that increases our a sense of accomplishment. I also feel strongly that we should, as healthy individuals, exercise because we can. Not just because it makes us stronger and faster. These are just some of the benefits of exercise. But for me, the number one reason is that it feels good and it is good for me. To me, that pretty much sums up the reason why I lace up whichever shoes I need that day to perform my scheduled workout. Trackback(0)
