What is hatha yoga?

Hatha yoga (gazoontite) is the closest thing
to what most people think of as "yoga".  It is a discipline that prepares the practitioner for the spiritual path, namely meditation.


Hatha yoga conditions the body to help clear the mind, so that meditation can be practiced without physical obstacles. This is accomplished through a series of poses, or asanas, and controlled breathing

This is the kind of yoga that I practice, if you can call it that.  My routine lasts about twenty minutes and can be done anywhere that I lay a yoga mat.  I mostly do it for the stretching and relaxation, my form of meditation is going to bed and sleeping well.
