What is Ujjayi Breath?

Answer:
UjjayiUjjayi Breath is a yoga term for
diaphragmatic breathing.  It is basically a long deep breath that is initiated in the abdomen.

The breath is usually accompanied by a slight vocalization in the throat, leading it to be called the loud breath, as well.  The entire breathing process, both inhalation and exhalation, are done through the nose.

In Sanskrit, UjjayiUjjayi translates to "the victory breath".  The breath starts by filling the lower abdomen, which activates the first and schakraschakras.  It then works its way up into the lower rib cage, or third and chakraschakras.  It then finally fills the upper chest and throat.
