What is Hair Replacement Surgery?

Answer:
Hair replacement surgery is a procedure that
uses a patient’s existing hair to fill in the areas where he or she is balding or has very little hair in order to improve the appearance and give the hair a fuller look. One technique involves relocating and grafting small pieces of hair-bearing scalp to those areas that are bald or thinning.

Another technique, flap surgery, is used to treat larger areas of baldness and involves removing a section of bald scalp and replacing it with of a flap of hair-bearing scalp which is still attached to its blood supply at one end. Sometimes two or more techniques are used to create the desired effect depending on the extent of baldness in the individual.

Consult with your Physician to determine which Hair Replacement process is right for you.
