What are some foods high in Fiber?

Answer:
Fiber is found in fruit, vegetables, cereals,
grains, beans, and nuts. Generally speaking, for a food to be high in fiber it has to contain at least 5 grams of fiber per serving.

Some of the foods from the above categories that make the high fiber list include pears, dried fruits such as apricots and dates, green peas, broccoli, bran flakes, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, lentils, and black and lima beans.

Lentils are an excellent source of fiber with one cup providing 15.6 grams (the American Heart Association recommends a daily fiber intake of between 20 and 35 grams).
