What is Glucose?

Answer:
The carbohydrates that we eat are broken down
into simple sugars known as Glucose.  We get our carbs from foods like pasta, grain, rice, potatoes, fruits, vegetable, and processed sugars.

These carbs are broken down by bile and enzymes into glucose, or blood sugar.  Glucose is absorbed into the bloodstream through the small intestines.  Once in the bloodstream, it combines with insulin, produced by the pancreas, in order to enter cells in the muscles and brain providing energy for daily activities and exercise.
