You may have heard about a concept known as Meatless
Going without meat once a week can have health benefits as well, as it can reduce your risk of suffering chronic medical conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity. This can also have an impact on the planet, as it will reduce your carbon footprint and help to preserve natural resources such asfresh water and fossil fuels.
Now we are going to look at some of the health benefits of following this type of diet change. Many different studies have shown that a diet high in fruits and vegetables can reduce your risk of cancer. Diets high is red and processed meat have shown an increased risk of colon cancer. Studies have also shown that replacing foods that are rich in saturated fats with foods that are high in polyunsaturated fats can reduce the risk of heart disease by nineteen percent. Also, eating a lot of red and processed meats can increase the risk of Type 2 diabetes.
As you can see, this isn’t a bad idea for a diet change.
