Noni is a fruit found in nature. Its scientific
name is Morinda citrifolia L. It is roughly the same size as a potato and is yellow, but as it ripens, the color will change to white when it is fully ripe.


This fruit has a very bitter taste, and the smell is not that appealing. It’s most common use is as a dietary supplement, and it has many health benefits associated with it. The fruit is most commonly found in Panama, although it can also be found in Antilles, Asia, Central America, and Oceania. It can be found in both the wild and in commercial farms. There is a nutraceutical market for this fruit. The noni plant flowers in virgin lands near the ocean. Over time, it transforms itself into a tree and will eventually reach a height of ten to twenty feet high. It will produce fruit year round due to the climate, and the flower is white in color. Once the flower forms fruit, the fruit will be roughly 8cm in diameter, and will turn from yellow to white when it is ripe. The pulp of this fruit is very dense and is brown in color.

This fruit is very rich in many things which are needed  to ensure good health, including: fiber, protein, iron, Vitamin C, calcium, and zinc.
