How long does the LASIK Vision Correction last?

Answer:
The LASIK vision correction appears to be permanent.
However, as we age our eyes change so some people might find that they need to have further treatment at some stage in the future. Your eye care specialist will be able to determine whether enhancement surgery is needed after any major changes in your eyes.

Also, bear in mind that as we reach our mid-40s the focusing mechanism in our eyes doesn’t work as well as when we were younger resulting in the need for reading glasses or a bifocal segment in our existing glasses. This age-related change affects the lens in our eyes and cannot therefore be treated with LASIK surgery as that corrects the cornea.
