What is a Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty?

Answer:
Abdominoplasty, more commonly known as a tummy tuck,
is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen.

It’s usually performed after a patient has lost a significant amount of weight, in order to improve the appearance of the stomach area. As well as removing excess skin and fat, a tummy tuck results in tightening of the abdominal wall muscles, a flatter abdomen, and sometimes a smaller waist. A tummy tuck doesn’t lead to weight loss in itself though. And while a tummy tuck
might sound fairly benign, it is in fact major surgery.
