What is Dermabrasion?

Answer:
Dermabrasion involves the removal of the surface
of the skin by abrasion (sanding) in order to reduce the appearance of blemishes, usually acne or injury scars.

There are two types of dermabrasion; one involves the use of a wire brush to scrape away the outer layer of skin to a level where the scars will be less noticeable, while the other involves layers of skin surrounding a deep scar or other defect being skimmed off with the use of a dermatone, a sort of electric razor, until the skin is at the same level as the lowest point of the scar.
