Answer:
Withdrawal, also known as Coitus The success of the withdrawal will largely depends on the ability of the male partner, his self-control and self-knowledge. However Withdrawal method offers some advantages as well as disadvantages.
The various advantages of using Withdrawal method as a birth control measure are that it can be used at any time, it is free of cost method, does not need prescription, has no medical or hormonal side effects, can be used if no other method of birth control is available, does not alter the menstrual cycle of female, future fertility of female is not affected and many more.
The various disadvantages of using Withdrawal method as a birth control measure are that it does not protect from sexually transmitted diseases, nervousness and sexual interruption may decrease the pleasure, less effective if male is not having self-control on ejaculation, pre-ejaculation fluid may contain sperms in sufficient amount to enter uterus, less effective if the male partner is under the influence of alcohol and just a single mistake can cause a pregnancy.
During Withdrawal method a lot of precautions are to be taken by the male partner like proper timing before the ejaculation must be analyzed otherwise it will be too late, before sex male should urinate to remove sperms if he has ejaculated recently, he must ejaculate outside the vagina because a sperm can reach uterus even from vaginal opening, one can use alternative methods of birth control measures till the male partner becomes sufficiently capable to perform the method, etc.
However some alternative methods of birth control are also available which are even more effective than withdrawal, cheaper and without utilizing drugs like Natural Family Planning, condoms, diaphragm, etc.
