What is a good Lat Workout? |

Answer:
The Latissimus Dorsey, or Lat muscles, Well developed lats are also the main factor in the "wide" look of a well developed back. The most basic exercise for the lats is also one of the most effective. Pull ups are an exercise that most kids begin in elementary school. They require no equipment other than a pull up bar and your body weight. Once you can perform 15 to 20 reps, however, you will need some weight to hang around your waist. As far as working the back in the weight room, a combination of pull downs, pull overs, rows, and dead lifts are good for the overall back. To target the lats, it is a good idea to do pull overs and pull downs as part of a super set. Set up the pull down machine with a weight that you can do for 8 to 12 repetitions. Now grab a dumbbell that will allow for 8 to 12 reps. Lie across a bench with the dumbbell in both hands and pressed to arms length. Now lower the weight in an arc toward the floor. Go as low as you can and then bring the weight back up to pressed out position. Once you have done a set to failure, proceed immediately to the pull downs. Perform a set of these until failure and you've just done a great workout for the lats. Trackback(0)
