What are HPV Symptoms?

Answer:
Genital warts are the most common symptoms of HPV (human papilloma virus) infection.
In women the cauliflower-like growths usually appear inside the vagina and on the vaginal lips, or around the anus; in men they usually form on the penis but they can also appear on the scrotum or around the anus.

The growths are typically soft, moist swellings that are red or pink in color. Although they are generally painless they may itch. Depending on the type of HPV, some women develop abnormal cell growth (dysplasia) on the cervix. These warts can take weeks or even years to show after having sex with someone who’s infected with HPV, and sometimes people develop no symptoms at all after contracting the virus.
